No checkpoint due this week :)

Compose

Individual 2: Big Idea 2 (75%)

So you were in love with your first idea? Don’t be too sad to turn away, because it was just one draw from your creative urn. Move forward, don’t look back, and focus on the how of quickly creating a concept from start to finish. As did your first, your second proposal should encapsulate the fundamental elements of problem, solution, and the difference it makes. Call it a seed that you can easily plant in the minds of an audience, and if they are interested they will help you to make it grow. If they don’t like a concept, no big loss, because you can reimagine it or move on to the next big idea.

Review

Participation 2: Peer Review 2 (33%, 3 points)

Welcome to another round of peer review. What should your interlocutors keep, cut, rearrange, or add to strengthen their compositions? Reflect on what you thought was (and wasn’t) helpful about the feedback you gave and received last time. Aim to be more incisive and helpful this round.

Canceled!

Just like you did with Big Idea #1, this week we will offer each other feedback on the first draft of Big Idea #2. Try to be critical in a polite and helpful way, but don’t be too nice! If your friend had a wardrobe malfunction you would tell them right, before they walked out in public and embarassed themselves? Don’t look the other way if you notice serious problems; help the members of your peer review circle identify what’s wrong in their work so everyone has a chance to improve.
How to submit
Please follow the same basic procedure as you did for peer review in week 4, but this time read the 02.Rmd source document in each collaborator’s portfolio repository. Create an issue with a sensible title on each collaborator’s repository with your feedback about the 02.Rmd composition. You don’t have to make a milestone, and you can decide for yourself the kind of feedback that you think will be most helpful.
